Regardless of the weather and the fresh start of a new semester, Palm Beach Outreach has been able to consistently spread and advocate for what means the most, advocating for our local community.

As an up-and-coming non-profit, our ability to connect with students and community members has been crucial to demonstrating our offerings, and this past month we were able to welcome a new High School social media manager, Gabriela Quintero, who has so far helped PBO gain close to 30 new followers on Instagram and upwards of 100 likes across both of our social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook.

This month was also the beginning of our Google search appearances, growing from unfindable to the 4th most popular page when searching for our organization on the search engine. We also now appear as an organization, and our website is linked at the top of Google when searched for.

From updating and improving our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to creating a new “Impact” page, our website has been a highlight of our improvements for the month.

We have been able to update events available for sign-up, which now includes 6 options compared to our previous 3 event offerings. We are working closely with local charities and organizations to help create new offerings, such as book drives and working with local soup kitchens.

The cold and cloudy weather didn’t get in the way of our beach cleanups. This past month we were able to collect over 10 gallons of trash, some of which included 50 cigarettes and 25 bottle caps.

We were also able to donate neatly packaged and curated baskets for children at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami. With over $100 worth of materials, we were able to bring smiles to over 15 children going through life-saving medical treatments.

This past month, our members spent 160 hours sharing Palm Beach Outreach’s mission, and we hope that February allows us to stay further within reach of our community!
